$30 per class and includes materials to use, class demonstration, and practice. These mini workshops focus on different aspects of drawing, techniques, and approaches and are designed to give the beginning level artist a foundation to build drawing skills. No experience needed.

Fantasy Character Design
Summer Art Workshop
for Young People
Learn to conceptualize, design, and illustrate your own imaginative characters!
Students will engage in lectures and learn what makes a compelling character. They will complete assignments that will further develop their concept art abilities.
Limited seating, 20 spots available.
Thursdays, June 28th - July 19th, 2018
10 am - 11 am
Supplies
- Graphite Pencil, or other drawing medium
- Eraser (Optional)
- Colored pencils, markers, paint, or other coloring medium
Students will provide their own supplies (The focus of this course is character design, and not the medium, so any drawing and color materials will do). If you have a portable device, and know how to use it, digital medium is fine as well.

Character shape design and research
Week 2
Character gestures, and head studies
Week 3
Details, and pulling it all together
Week 4
Glamour shot review and critique
