This workshop is an
introduction to plein air painting with oils. The first day will take
place indoors in Patris' spacious studio. Philippe will go through the materials to be used when
painting outdoors, followed by a demonstration illustrating the
different steps and aspects leading to a successful painting:
composition, simplification, values, edges, light and color. The
following day will take place outdoors (weather permitting) where you will
be able to apply what you learned the day before in a "plein air "
environment. Drawing skills and some painting experience is recommended.
