This class will explore using pencils and pens in the drawing process.
Bring a sketch book and any fine tip ink pens or micron pens you may have.
Studio materials are available for use in the class if you need to borrow them.
All other materials provided or bring in your favorite pens and pencils to use.

Open Studio Painting Class
Start-Fix-Finish!!
Monday April 29

$45
Bring in unfinished artwork or start a new painting project of your choice. Set up a still life to paint. Paint your favorite landscape from a photo reference or select one of the studio's photo references. Spend a creative afternoon in our spacious studio under the guidance and teaching of Patris to complete your artwork to a skillful finish. Individual instruction provided and geared to your level of learning.
If desired, bring in your favorite painting supplies and canvas size of your choice or use the studio materials provided.

Find inspiration in our state flower, the California Poppy. Whether it's a close-up view or a vibrant field of poppies, we'll take a closer look at the flower's shapes and forms. Then make several drawings using pictures as the model before developing a finished painting on canvas.
Bring in your favorite Poppy photos to work from or use the references provided.

Join us outdoors under a shady spot as we learn about drawing from life. Using a variety of techniques, approaches and various materials, you will learn about composing and creating skillful and interesting drawings of the scenery surrounding us. Location and directions will be sent upon registration.
Bring a sketch book and your favorite drawing pencils. (If you don't have supplies, we will provide them for you)
All other drawing materials provided as we explore a variety of picture-making techniques and final drawing project.
