Mini Workshop:
Intro to Outdoor Painting
Using the Still life
Oil or Acrylic painting
Saturday Oct. 24
12 - 4
$50 (includes most supplies)

In this introductory class to outdoor painting, we will use a simple still life to learn basic steps, processes, and techniques to capturing your subject in natural light.

First we'll meet in the studio to discuss the process and prepare our supplies, then head outside to learn and explore how to capture the fleeting effects of color, value, and temperature in a simple still life set up.

Patris will guide everyone through the outdoor painting process and do a mini lesson outside to demonstrate techniques and approaches.

You must pre-register so that an adequate supply list and specific logistics can be emailed to you.  Bring a small canvas or canvas panel such as 8x10 or 9x12.

Other painting supplies will be provided so come join us and try your hand at outdoor painting to capture the fleeting light and color effects!

To register: email Patris at
artist_patris@yahoo.com
