We'll resume regular POP UP Fridays next week with a long pose from 10 am - 1 pm.

David Lobenberg Acrylic Painting Workshop

We were honored to have David Lobenberg teaching here at the studio today for this fun workshop entitled "Koi Joy."

David explains color and reflections to his students.

In spite of the heat wave, many, many students attended this workshop with popular teacher David Lobenberg here in Oak Park.

Announcing--David Lobenberg Acrylic Painting Workshop: Koi Joy

We will be painting on a large 22 inch by 26 inch stretched canvas using heavy body acrylic paint, medium-thinned acrylic paint, and believe or not, day glow orange acrylic paint!

June 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the fabulous Patris Studio here in Sacramento. Tuition is $95.

POP UP Friday--long pose

We did a 3-hour pose last POP UP Friday and it's so inspiring to see all of the different approaches used by the artists who attended.  We will do another long pose this Friday for our POP UP session.

Day 2 Kids Art Camp: Fine Art; Fiber Art; Culinary Art

Today's wonderful culinary creation was a delicious stir fry which our young chefs shared with all of us at camp.

Under the close supervision of our head chef extraordinaire Mrs. Ning Noy Downing, the young chefs learn a culinary lesson.

Today we made our own creations and colors to create a colorful boquet.

A great workshop this weekend with Michael Siegel

Our workshop with master artist and extraordinary teacher Michael Siegel began with his demo. 

We all learned an incredible amount as we practiced, struggled, and grew in our artistic skills this weekend.

Michael Siegel is an amazing teacher and works with each student individually  to help them progress and develop in their artistic skills.  We were so fortunate to have such a wonderful teacher and accomplished artist working with us in this workshop.  We are all looking forward to his next workshop here in Sacramento at the end of September!!!
