No experience needed. Just pick up a brush, follow Rachel Cate with her step by step instruction, enjoy some beverages and friendly convo, get in the game. It's a fun, unique, and a creative way to let your inner artist child emerge.

Announcing rescheduled Fongwei Liu Portrait and Clothed Figure Workshop: Nov 22-24

Fongwei will help you improve handling value, edge, and color in painting portraits and figures. He will stress how to achieve specific painting effects by properly applying paints and medium.  He will introduce his painting concepts to establish a general framework to guide the entire painting process.

30 to 60 minutes lectures and 2 to 3 hours demonstrations will be done the first two mornings, followed by students’ practicing concepts taught. Group or one-on-one critique will be provided as well during the workshop.

Speed Studies Class at the studio

Speed Studies class with Abigail Van Cannon on Thursdays noon to 4 pm.  Last week we did still life set ups.  This week we will work from the model.  Abbie is a great teacher and helps us get our brushes moving!  No time to dilly dally in this  class.
