Optional: $10 for paper and use of David’s paints, easel and brushes.
Location: Patris Studio and Gallery in Oak Park, Sacramento.
Students of all levels will come to this workshop prepared to paint outdoors. The point of the class is to practice painting fast and loose from life! David will show participants how everyday urban subjects viewed from a street corner can become images for lively and fresh paintings. Indoor painting area available.

Patris Studio and Art Gallery
This workshop is about painting the figure alla
prima (wet into wet) and the techniques used to create a fresh, direct response
to our subjects.
David Shevlino studied
at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (certificate ’84) and the
University of Pennsylvania (BFA ’92). His work has been featured in
national publications and he has exhibited his work and taught workshops
throughout the U.S. He has also produced a series of videos and DVDs about
his artwork and painting methods.
