Announcing David Lobenberg Workshop: Learning the 6 Universal Skill Sets of Drawing

LEARNING THE SIX UNIVERSAL SKILL SETS OF DRAWING

In this weekend workshop (four hours each day), David will cover the six primary skill sets of drawing: Angles, Proportion, Position, Contour, Value, and Shape. David will present, discuss, and demonstrate each skill set, then follow up with an exercise specifically designed to effectively practice that skill set. The presentation order of skill sets is designed to be cumulative so that participants can continue to practice previously-taught skill sets in their exercises as they work with the most recently-taught skill set. David’s approach to teaching has evolved from his many years of instructing college students. Participants will be provided with all of the necessary drawing supplies and objects to draw as part of the workshop format.

To register for this drawing workshop, please email David at: davidlobenberg@me.com
and send your $160 tuition check to David at: 741 48th Street, Sacramento, CA 95819.
Workshop dates and times is as follows: Oct. 26 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

Workshop location is at the Patris Studio and Gallery at 3460 2nd Ave., Sacramento, CA 95817.

A fantastic workshop last weekend with Michael Siegel.

Michael Siegel began the workshop with a wonderful demo of a still life.  He explained what makes a good still life with even deeper concepts than just making a nice painting.

He is an amazing teacher and throughout the 3-hour demo, he would illustrate different concepts and ideas on his painting, explaining and clarifying many higher level ideas that only only gets to hear from a master artist.

Here is the painting I worked on during the workshop.  I hope I can remember everything I learned!

Michael Siegel Workshop Sept 25-27 --space still available

Michael will open up his demo to the general public on Friday morning from 10 am - 1 pm.  Demo price is $60.  This will be another amazing workshop and if you can find a way to clear your schedule, it's worth every minute to study under this master artist.
Michael Siegel is by far one of the best teachers I ever had the privilege of studying with.  Come join us this coming weekend!
