Have you ever struggled to keep a fresh vibrant look to your paintings when working with photographs? David Shevlino has mastered the art of loose and energetic painting and will guide your through his working process.  Come to this workshop take your paintings to the next level when working with photographs.

Dates: April 13 - 16, 2023

Tuition: $500

contact Patris to register.  Tuition can be paid in 2 installments or a one time payment.

Photographs are a great tool, especially for landscape and cityscapes. However, they can be challenging to interpret when used as reference for paintings.  For this workshop we’ll learn how to use landscape photos and make editing decisions to create the most effective compositions and value/color choices.  We’ll also go over basic painting techniques, like value, color mixing, paint application, using a toned ground and how to achieve a sense of space and depth in the landscape.

Please bring a variety of photos with you either in print form or on a laptop or tablet.
