Let's Paint a Still Life with White

Saturday January 5
John Singer Sargeant's painting with white.

1:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Bring your art materials and let's begin with a discussion of how master artists handled the color white in their paintings.

Next we will work on a still life set up where the predominant color is white and challenge ourselves to work with the color white and all it's reflective colors.  Rather than struggling alone in our studio, let's get together and look at master artist references and each other for some ideas.

At 5:00 pm, we'll have an optional show and share and discuss the concept of the color white in our artwork.  Complimentary refreshments and beverages provided!

$10 per person.
Here's an example of  how Carol Marine used white in her painting here.

Another example from John Singer Sargeant using white.
